You can view the current data checking parameters for structural by selecting Structural on the Data Consistency Check window to display the Structural Consistency Check Options window with the current settings shown.

The Structural Consistency Check Options window displays the following tolerances that can be set:

  • The misalignment allowed between connected structural components can be specified by any of three related settings:

    • the Eccentricity Section Distance

    • the Eccentricity Section Angle

    • the Eccentricity Section Ratio (the tangent of the Angle)

Distance and angular offsets are measured from the line between Nodes, while additional checks are made using the attached Neutral points of the Section and the corresponding Node.

Positional errors for Joints and Fittings are measured as divergences of the Joint or Fitting positions from their owning Nodes. The tolerances are specified separately for a Eccentricity Pjoint (Primary Joint), Eccentricity Sjoint (Secondary Joint) and Eccentricity Fitting.

Click OK to confirm the changes, click Default to reset to default settings, click Reset to reset to original settings when the window was first opened or click Cancel to discard any changes and exit the window.
