Create a Location Defined View from Work Surface

  • Last UpdatedDec 15, 2025
  • 2 minute read

Create a location and limit defined (LLD) view for a drawing using information from the current work surface. The Quick Location Defined View Creation function uses existing work surface data, such as element types and limits, to speed up view creation. You can modify this data or adjust the scale in the Location Defined window before creating and placing the view in a drawing.

For more detailed information about available options for a location defined view, see Create Location Defined View.

Create a Location Defined Drawing View from the Current Work Surface
