Relationship between Internal and External Mapping Files

Relationship between Internal and External Mapping Files

For the purposes of this section, the variable BOCDATA is assumed to have been set up in your system initialization process to point to the folder containing the external mapping files.

The environment variable BOCDATA should point to a single folder only. This variable may be made to be project specific, so that the internal mapping files may be kept unchanged, but you will be able to pick up mapping files from a project-specific location.

Note:
BOCMAPS is not a variable specifically required by this interface.

You should take care in using environment variables in internal mapping files, as a recursive scan is not performed at this level. In this case the variable must point to only one folder.
