Create Specification

Use the Create Specification window to create a new SPEC element in the catalog hierarchy.

On the Specification tab, in the Create group, select Specification to display the Create Specification window.

In principle, an empty specification element can be created and then modified by reference to any specified catalog item.

To create a specification in this way (perhaps for later modification), check the Current Element (CE) is a Specification World (SPWL) element.

Use a meaningful Name and Description to identify the specification.

The valid structural specifications available from the Purpose drop-down list are:

• STL - Profile Specification

• FITT - Profile Fitting Specification

• PFIT - Panel Fitting Specification

• JOIN - Joint Specification

• MJOI - Merged Joint Specification

• AJOI - Automatic Joint Specification

• ABAS - Automatic Baseplates (Fixings under an ENDATU).
