The APSI Defaults window is displayed by selecting Settings from the Process Simulation Interface window. It has two tabs Base Settings and Export Settings.

Base Settings
The default base settings are as follows:
|
Hide Ignored Nodes in Graphical View |
This setting removes all the node labels from the 3D view. |
|
Swap Source Nodes to Drum Export |
All start nozzles or unconnected branch heads are automatically mapped to the source arrow symbol in APS this setting automatically changes these to the drum symbol during the output to the simx file. |
|
Output All Nodes Including Ignored |
This setting modifies the output stream to use the base pipe set instead of the merged pipe set. Normally this is not recommended because it leaves unclosed pipe ends at ignored nodes so requires extra work tidying the APS model. |
|
Output Scale Factor (1-20) |
This setting can be used to increase or decrease the symbol separation on the exported model. The conversion from 3-D to 2-D builds a volume box around the 3-D model the model centre is used to calculate x and y offsets from centre. These are then combined to form the sheet x plane component. The vertical offsets are used for the sheet y component. The final group of x,y components are then scaled to fit in an area similar to an A0 drawing sheet. Where symbols appear to be too close together this value can be increased, and the group re-exported. |
|
Group highlight color |
This setting can be used to change the color of when the group is highlighted. Note: |
|
Group pick item color |
This is used for the color used when picking group members. Normally this would be used in conjunction with the monochrome setting to enhance elements of the new group as it develops. As in the highlight color this setting is not dynamic so will not affect the current graphical display. |
Default Export Settings
The Export Settings can be added to export the model to APS.
|
Bore Unit Options |
Use to switch between imperial or metric bores. |
|
Distance Unit Options |
Use to specify which units to output for lengths. Note: |
|
Default Flow Model |
Use to select the initial flow model when imported the group into APS. |
