Structural Single Line Representation Styles

  • Last UpdatedJul 25, 2025

The Structural Single Line (SLR) Representation Style (SLSTYL) defines the appearance of certain structural elements specified by a RRUL that references it.

When used, they are similar to ordinary styles which display in the same hierarchy and share some of their attributes. However, their behaviour only applies to GENSEC elements in a structural single line representation view.

The SLSTYL attributes, with their defaults, are:

DLEV

Only model elements with a representation level greater or equal to DLEV will be drawn.

EXTGPL

Used for steelwork GENSECs. If checked, the member-line is extended to the intersection with the connected GENSEC member-line in the same framework.

SLLT

If checked, the part of the member line which passes through the outer edge of the widget displays.

SLRGAP

A gap of this length (in real world coordinates) will be applied to each end of the GENSEC single line, compared to where it would have ended as determined by EXTGPL.

SLFTHM

A width multiplier will be applied to the flange, web and leg thickness distance. For example, a value of 5.0 will display the width five times larger. The width of the flange, web or leg is limited to 25% of the total thickness of the widget.

The style/colour attributes allow different parts of chosen items to be drawn differently.
