Dynamic update

Controls when an element is updated as its properties are modified.

If the check box is selected, the element is updated every time a property setting changes. It is convenient for simple design items, but can give slow performance if a large number of rules have to be executed for each update.

If the check box is not selected, the element is updated only when OK on the Modify Properties window is clicked.

Maximum entry width

Specifies the maximum number of characters for a selector control. To modify, enter an integer. The change is automatically applied and saved to the user defaults once you navigate away.

Maximum form height

Specifies the maximum number of property entry controls allowed before the style changes from individual entry mode to list mode.

To modify, enter an integer. The change is automatically applied and saved to the user defaults once you navigate away.

Display plotfile

Controls if a plotfile is incorporated into the Modify Properties window.

Note:
A plotfile typically displays a dimensioned diagram.

If the check box is selected, a plot file is displayed on the Modify Properties window.

If the check box is not selected, a Plotfile button on the Modify Properties window displays the plotfile on request.

Graphical Dimensions

Controls how the design parameters are displayed on the 3D View (when requested). You can select the following options from the drop-down menu:

• Description & Value

• Description only

• Value only.

  Note:
  Any modifications are automatically applied and saved to user defaults.
