From the General Attributes part of the Create Step Ladder window, select a default standard from the drop-down list of available defaults. if there are no defaults, refer to the administrator, the default is Select.
Note:
The application automatically populates the default with the previously used default,
during a working session.
The selected standard to which the default relates and the default tread width are automatically displayed in the General Attributes part of the Create Step Ladder window.

In the Name: field, type the name for the new SLADDR element, or select Autoname Step Ladder. The default is Unset.
If required, type in a description for the step ladder in the Description box. The default is Unset.
The Tread Width field specifies the tread width of the SLADDR element, it is automatically populated with the default of the selected standard (if set up by the administrator). If required, you can amend the tread width of the SLADDR element within the minimum and maximum defaults.
The Pitch field specifies the incline of the step ladder, it is automatically populated with the default of the selected standard (if set up by the administrator). If required, you can amend the pitch of the SLADDR element within the minimum and maximum defaults.
Select the Use Top Stringer Gap check box to create a stringer gap from the top edge to the top of the step ladder stringer (if edge to edge is used).
Select the Use Bottom Stringer Gap check box to create a stringer gap from the bottom edge to the bottom of the step ladder stringer (if edge to edge is used).

Click Next to display the Reference Points part of the Create Step Ladder window. Refer to Reference Points for further information.
Click Cancel to discard any inputs and close the Create Step Ladder window.
The Step Ladder Summary part of the Create Step Ladder window is populated with the Pitch angle and Tread Width dimension of the SLADDR element.
