Create Overlay Sheet

Creates an overlay sheet.

To display a list of available Templates, click Overlay Sheet. The Template Types can be changed by selecting an option from the drop-down list. After selecting the options, click Create to display the Create Overlay Sheet window.

The Create Overlay Sheet window has similar functionality to the Hierarchy Browser window. Refer to Hierarchy Browser for further information.

Browse the hierarchy to select the Sheet Library element that the new element is to be created under.

Input a name in the Name field, or leave it blank if the element is to be assigned a name automatically.

To open a drop-down list consisting of elements that can be created at the current level, click New above the left-hand part of the window.

The icon above the right-hand part of the window is used to specify whether the overlay sheets display as thumbnails, a simple list, or in a list with details.

To create the new element, click Create. A new sheet is then created and opened. You can now create the overlay sheet elements by using the standard drawing and annotation facilities.

Click Cancel to discard any changes and close the Create Overlay Sheet window.
