An alternative method of creating a bent panel element (BPANEL) element, which can be used to represent any sheet material used to clad a structural model. For example, a bent panel can be used for roofing on a structural model.
Create and Fill options enable, respectively, creation of a single plate or a repeated pattern of a plate.
Inputs to the plate creation process are first point, second point, and third point.
The first point must be a point on a structure in the 3D View.
The second and third points must be anti-clockwise from the first.
If Fill is selected, the first and second points form the cover width and the first and third points form the extrusion length.
On the Plates tab, in the Create group, click Bent Plate and select Swaged Plate. The Swaged Plate Creation form is displayed:

The Shape panel list the available plate profiles and, for each, a list of plates available in the catalog. The list shows:
-
Name
-
Cover width
-
Extrusion length
-

-
Height
The Dimension panel shows an image of the selected plate's profile.
With the mouse over the 3D View, you are prompted to Select Swaged Panel.
