Create Polar Array

Select the Polar tab to create a Polar Array.

Method |
Select from the drop-down list to specify the array creation method. The selection determines the fields on the tab that are active. You can select from:

Centre point |
Input coordinates in the field to specify the array centre point. Alternatively, this can be specified on the drawing canvas. Refer to Specify Center Point on Drawing Canvas for further information. |

Total number of items |
Input the total number of items in the field to form the array. |
|
Angle to fill |
Input a value in the field to define the fill angle of array objects. Alternatively, this can be specified on the drawing canvas. Refer to Specify Angle to Fill on Drawing Canvas for further information. |

Angle between items |
Input a value in the field to define the angle between the array objects. Alternatively, this can be specified on the drawing canvas. Refer to Specify Angle between Array Objects on Drawing Canvas for further information. |

Rotate items when copied |
Select the check box to rotate array items around the centre point. If the check box is cleared, a base point must be specified. |

Set to object's defaults |
Select the check box to rotate objects around the default base point. Clear the check box to define a base point to rotate the objects around. |

Base point |
Input the base point coordinates in the field to define a point to rotate the objects around. Alternatively, this can be specified on the drawing canvas. Refer to Specify Base Point on Drawing Canvas for further information. |

Preview |
Click to display a preview of the array on the drawing canvas with the current settings. The Array window is closed. Press ESC to return to the Array window, or Enter to create the array. |
Click OK to create the Array or Cancel to discard any inputs and close the Array window
