Example Connection Type Codes

Naming of the P-point PCON attribute of a Piping Component requires early consideration. The PCON name is for use mainly in data consistency checking, but also by Isodraft for working out bolting details. The rules for Isodraft are as follows:

• The first letter of the PCON attribute of a flange must be ‘F’ or ‘L’ (the latter for lap joints)

• The first letter of the PCON attribute of a gasket must be ‘G’

• The first letter of the PCON attribute of a wafer fitting must be ‘W’
