Split Idealized Panel Elements

Idealized Panel (IPANE) elements must be split into three or four node elements in Staad Pro. The Split IPANE functionality enables the preparation of IPANE elements for Staad Pro.
On the Export Options part of the SAI Export Form window, click Split IPANE.
You are prompted to Pick the IPANE to be split. <esc> to exit
Click to identify the IPANE to split.
You are then prompted to Pick an ISECT or 2 INODEs to split the IPANE on. <esc> to exit
Click to identify two INODES or an intersecting ISECT to define the split point.
The IPANE is split using the defined split points and the command ends automatically.
Throughout the split process you can press ESC to cancel the command.
The new IPANE element displays in the Model Explorer.
