To view an inventory inside the room, from the Modify Inventory volume window, click the Saved Inventory expand button.

To calculate the inventory, click Calculate to display the results.

The list contains the inventory partially or fully inside the room volume, the total number of the items is also displayed. How the information is displayed on the grid can be customised, for more information refer to GUI Grid Data for further information.

Elements that have not been modified since the room inventory was last calculated are displayed in green. Elements that have been modified are displayed in yellow. If elements coloured yellow are displayed, it is recommended that you make sure that Saved Inventories are selected then click Calculate followed by Apply to update the saved inventories.

The fold-up panel is renamed to Calculated Inventory and the colouring is removed.

To view the inventory inside the room in the 3D view, from the Modify Inventory volume window, click to select item, then click Add Selected, the selected items are displayed in the 3D view.

To export the report of the items to MS Excel, click Export.

To print the report for the items inside the room, click Print.

The inventory is not stored in the database but calculated each time Room Manager is used. There is therefore no need to update the inventory for a room. The room of any element in AVEVA E3D Design can be obtained using the GTROOM attribute which returns a list of room elements. This attribute can be used in reports or to extract room data for use in other systems.

Click Repeat to copy the Inventory volume element, Refresh to any modifications and display the original attributes, Apply to create the Inventory volume element with modification or Dismiss to discard any inputs and close the Modify Inventory volume window.
