Import Idealized Model

The SAI creates an idealized model from the STD file produced in Staad Pro. The imported idealized model is compared with the previously exported idealized model. Checks can be carried out to define the differences between the idealized models, and the AVEVA E3D Design structural model can be updated accordingly.

On the Interfaces tab, in the Structures group, click Analysis Interface and select SAI Import from the drop-down menu to display the SAI Import Form window.

The SAI Import Form window is displayed as a dockable window, initially docked at the right hand side of the screen.

All the tasks that are associated with the import of idealized model data are available for selection from a central window, which acts as a task hub. A series of windows are presented (progressive disclosure), prompting for input. The Source window is always the initial window.
