Create Components

When a Component is selected by the designer using Model, a Specification Reference (SPREF) is identified and held in the Design database. For SLH elements, SPCO (for profiles) must point at SPRF and GPART (for parts) must point at a SFIT or TMMPL. Refer to Principal Features of the Catalog Database for more information.

Catalog component (SFIT) elements in the catalog may be referred to many times in a particular deign.

There are many different combinations of SLH catalog component that can be created, because of this the Paragon application uses a common layout for the windows that are presented to you. For the same reason this document only includes a detailed description of how to create one specific type of SLH catalog component. The information can be applied to the same processes that are used to create all other types of SLH catalog components
