Create Review Export Template

Creates a template of identified elements as a .xr file. The file can be imported in applications (for example, in AVEVA Review) to visualize the exported geometries of the elements in the representation style of the current 3DView.

Prepare Folder in File Explorer

  1. In Windows, open File Explorer.

  2. On C:\ drive, create a new folder to store the export template, for example, Review.

  3. In File Explorer in address box, click right mouse button to display the context menu.

  4. Select Copy Address as Text.

Define Export Content

  1. On the Interface tab in the Export area, select the arrow below the Review function to display the sub menu.

  2. Select Create to display the Export window.

  3. In the Output file box, press CTRL + C to paste the address from File Explorer.

  4. Enter \ and a file name, for example, \test.xr.

  5. Below the Include list in the Add dropdown list, select Identify.

  6. Select Add to grey out the Export window and display Identify Element message dialog.

  7. Select an element in 3DView to populate the Inlcude list.

  8. Repeat Step 5 to 7 to add various elements to the list.

    The Include list displays all the added elements.

    Define Representation configurations

    1. Select Representation... to display the Export representation window.

    2. Clear the Representation check box.

    3. Select OK to return to the Export window.

      Define Rule Class

      1. Select Rule Class. to display the Selection a Rule Class window.

      2. Select the User Defined Export Rules Rule Class.

        Define Rule Class

        1. Select Add to display the Add Rule Class window

        2. Enter a name into the Class Name box, for example, SampleColourRules.

        3. Enter a PML command into the Rule box, for example, ALL GENSEC.

        4. Enter a description in to the Rule Description box, for example, Rule for all GENSECs.

        5. Enter a Colour Index number, for example, 4.

        6. Select Insert After to populate the Rule list.

        7. Repeat step 2 to 6 to create more Rule Classes with different Colour Index, for example, ALL NOZZLES with index 4, ALL ELBO with index 2.

          The required Rule Classes are displayed in the Rules list.

        8. Select OK. to display the Confirm dialog.

        9. Select OK to return to the Selection a Rule Class window.

        10. Select the new Sample ColourRules.

        11. Select OK to return to the Export window with the displayed Rule Class.

        12. Select Export.

          The test.xr file is created in the Review folder.
