Import DGN

Import-DGN is for translating dgn files (as used in MicroStation and other applications) into Model macro files suitable for input into AVEVA E3D Design.
Dgn version 7 format files can also be translated into Review model files, and if associated Design Review (drv) files are available then these can be transferred to Review in AVEVA Attribute File Format.
Import-DGN supports two different technologies for translation.

Teigha® technology supports both version 8 of the dgn file format (as written by MicroStation V8 and V8i) and version 7, and can translate a wider range of dgn objects.

Basic technology is restricted to dgn version 7 and a smaller range of primitives, but does include some facilities not available with Import-DGN's Teigha® facilities.
Refer to Teigha® or Basic facilities for advice on choosing which facilities to use (both are included in this release).
