Print Sheets

Sets the printing options and allows you to print drawing sheets.

Print/Plot |
Click to print the current sheet. When Print/Plot is selected, the current print settings are saved. |

Multi Print/Plot |
Allows you to print multiple sheets, Click to display the Open window. The functionality of the Open window is explained, refer to Export Multiple Sheets for further information. Click Open to print the selected sheets. During the print process, a progress bar displays which tracks the progress.
Click Cancel to cancel the print process, |

Copies |
Input the number of copies required in the field. |
|
Specify the printer to use |
Select the printer or plotter from the drop-down list. The default printing device is pre-selected. |

Print to File |
Select the check box to print to a file output. For example a .prn file. When Print/Plot is selected, the Save As window displays.
You must input a filename and select the required file type. The default filename is the drawing name. Click Save to print the file or Cancel to discard any changes and close the Save As window. |

Printer Properties |
Click to define the printer specific properties for the currently selected printer. |

Specify plot styles |
Allows you to define the colour, fill and line style settings for the print. Click to display a drop-down list.
Select Default from the drop-down list, the colour, fill and line style settings are not changed. Select Monochrome from the drop-down list to print all colours as black and white. Select Greyscale from the drop-down list to print all colours as greyscale. Select All Filltypes as Solid from the drop-down list to print all filled objects with a solid fill. For example, all objects with shaded fill properties are printed with a solid fill. Select All Linetypes as Solid from the drop-down list to print all lines with a solid line type. For example, all dashed lines are printed as solid lines. As well as the default plot styles provided with the product, additional plot styles can be created. Refer to Plot Style for further information. |

Specify the object type to be printed |
Allows you to define the printed area. Click to display a drop-down list.
Select Sheet from the drop-down list to print the currently selected sheet. Select Display from the drop-down list to print the current display area of a sheet. Select Extents from the drop-down list to print the extents of a sheet. Select Window from the drop-down list to print a defined display area. Click Specify window to define the display area to be printed. |

Specify window |
Click to define the display area to be printed. The application displays the current sheet. You are prompted to Specify first corner Click to identify the first corner of the output area. You are then prompted to Specify opposite corner Click to identify the opposite corner of the output area. |

Select one of the available scale presets |
Allows you to define the printed drawing scale. Click to display a drop-down list.
You can select a preset scale from the drop-down list. Alternatively, input scale nominator and denominator values in the adjacent fields. |

Fit to paper |
Select the check box to scale the printed output to the selected page size, by default. |
|
Specify paper orientation |
Allows you to define the printed page orientation. Click to display a drop-down list.
Select Landscape Orientation to print the sheet as Landscape. Select Landscape Upside Down Orientation to print the sheet as Landscape Upside down. The option can be used for flip book backing sheets. Select Portrait Orientation to print the sheet as Portrait. Select Landscape Upside Down Orientation to print the sheet as Landscape Upside down. The option can be used for flip book backing sheets. |

Select one of paper sizes available or the current printer |
Allows you to define the printed page size. Click to display a drop-down list, you can select an available page size.

Page Setup |
Allows you to view and/or select further paper size properties. Click to display the Page Setup window.
All of the page setup properties can be updated in the Print Options with the exception of margins. Refer to Print Margins for further information Click OK to apply the page setup modifications or Cancel to discard any changes and close the Page Setup window. |

Centre the Print |
Select the check box to center the printed output on the paper. Alternatively, you can de-select the check box and input coordinates in the X and Y fields to define the center point of the printed area. |

Scale Line Weight |
Select the check box to scale line weights on the printed output. |
|
Auto Preview |
Select the check box to update the print preview as the print settings are changed, by default. |
|
Show View Frames |
Select the check box to include the frames of all View frame owners (for example, Views, Regions and Sheets) in the printed output. |

Preview |
Click to update the print preview. |
