The codes apply only to intelligent text rendered using a TrueType font. They are not treated as codewords when the AVEVA font is in use. If one of the codes is used, when the corresponding style is already set as requested by the codeword, it is not treated as a codeword.
Note:
The TrueType font assigned to the element can be set upfront as Bold or Italic without
having to use the codes in the string, when selecting a True Type font from the True Type font selection window:

Substitutions for &B &b &I &i for bold and Italics have been removed. Any text relying
on this behavior must be updated to use the above syntax.
