Defines the parameters to create markings on adjoining parts to enable an easier welding process.

Guide Diagram
Displays a diagram to guide you visualized through the marking settings. The diagram may vary dependent on the setting you have selected.
Gap Settings
Gap to outer contour
Note: The Gap to outer contour option is only relevant for markings which are crossing the contour or closer than gap value.
Defines the required distance of marking contour start and end from the outer contour.

If you enter a gap value of 0.0, the application trims the marking lines which overlaps the outer contour. The marking line starts respectively ends at the outer contour.
If you enter a gap value bigger than 0.0, the application trims the overlapping marking line. But the marking line starts respectively ends with the defined gap distance from the outer contour.
Gap to holes
Note: The Gap to hole option is only relevant for markings which are crossing a hole or closer to the whole than the gap value.
Defines the required distance of marking contour start and end from holes.

If you enter a gap value of 0.0, the application trims the marking lines which overlap holes. The line starts respectively ends at the hole.
If you enter a gap value bigger than 0.0, the application trims the overlapping marking line. But the marking line starts respectively ends with the defined gap distance from hole.
Jag Settings
Enabled
Defines whether to consider jags for marking or not.
If you select the Enabled checkbox, the marking process uses jags to visualize on which side of the marking the adjoint part is.
If you do not select the Enabled checkbox, the marking process does not use jags.
Jag Type
Defines the jag type to be used. Two types of jags are available:
|
V-Mark |
Defines to use the V jags for marking. If you select the V-Mark checkbox:
|
|
|
Width |
Defines the V-mark width. |
|
|
Height |
Defines the V-mark height. |
|
|
C-Mark |
Defines to use the C jags for marking. If you select the C-Mark checkbox:
|
|
|
Radius 1 |
Defines the C-mark inner radius. |
|
|
Radius 2 |
Defines the C-mark outer radius. |
|
Force Mould Line
Defines to display a mould line or a weld line.
If you select the Force Mould Line checkbox, the marking process uses a mould line.
If you do no select the Force Mould Line checkbox, the marking process uses a weld line.
Stiffener Hook
Enabled
Defines whether to consider stiffener hooks for marking or not.
If you select the Enabled checkbox, the Marking - Guide Diagram displays the possible stiffener hook characteristics and the Radius and Length option become available.

The marking process uses stiffener hooks with the radius and the length of the hook you define.
If you do not select the Enabled checkbox, the marking process does not use stiffener hooks. The marking ends straight - without a stiffener hook.
Radius
Defines the radius between marking line and hook.
If you set the radius to zero, the straight line goes the given length in the direction of the material side of the stiffener/bracket and with a knuckle of 90 degrees.
Length
Defines the hook length.
If you set the length to zero, the contour ends with a quarter circle, whose end indicates the end of the weld trace and whose direction is against the material side of the stiffener/bracket.
Note: If you set Radius and Length to zero, the marking contour ends at the end of the weld trace.
If you do not set Radius or Length to zero, the contour ends with a quarter circle and a straight line, where the line
points to the point where the weld trace ends.
