Creates and manages grid systems used to define coordinate references in the model. The main ship grid provides a framework for positioning and creating model elements such as curves and surfaces.
Create a Grid System

On the Common Reference tab, in the Create group, select Grid Manager
The Grid Manager window opens:

Enter a name in the Grid System box or select an existing grid system from the dropdown list.

Define axis prefixes, start position, orientation, grid system and axis names.

Enable Active Marine grid system to _?__.

Select Single mode to _?_.

Select Create.
The system creates the REFGRD element and set the purpose of the created grid to SHIP, which identifies the main ship grid.
