Create Standalone Fitting

Creates a standalone fitting element. A standalone fitting element can be created below a FRMW or SBFW element.

A Table Group (TABGRO) element must be created in Paragon, the Purpose and SPType attributes must be set to STFX (Standalone Fitting) to display the fittings in the Create Standalone Fixing window.

On the Sections tab, in the Create group, click Fitting and select Standalone Fitting from the drop-down menu to display the Create Standalone Fixing window.

Name/Autoname

Select Name from the drop-down list to input the name of the fitting element, or select Autoname.

Table

Select the overall category of the fitting from the drop-down menu.

Type

Select the sub-category of the fitting from the drop-down menu.

Select a fitting on the fittings grid, a 3D representation of the selected fitting displays below the fittings grid.

Properties

Click to display the Modify Properties window, which allows you to set parameterized data relevant to the selected fitting. Refer to Modify Properties for further information.

Plotfile

Click to display a diagram of the fitting, if one has been provided with the fitting definition. The diagram can also form part of the Modify Properties window.

Insert

Click to add and position the fitting.

The Component Position part of the Create Standalone Fixing window displays, which can be used to position the fixing with coordinates. Refer to Coordinates for further information.

The Positioning Control window also displays, which is common throughout all design disciplines. Refer to Positioning Control for further information.

You are prompted to Create Standalone Fixing - Select Standalone Fixing poisition (Distance[0] Snap:

Click to identify the fitting position. A fitting is created and displays in the 3D view.

Apply

Click to apply the fitting settings.

The new SDAFIX element displays in the Model Explorer.
