Create Drawing from Drawing Type and Template

Creates a drawing from a selected drawing type and template.
On the Project tab, click New Drawing to display the drawing types, templates and template sheets.

Select Drawing from the available Drawing Types.
Select a Template Type from the drop-down list to filter the available Templates. The appearance of the templates is pre-defined by the administrator allowing for the production of company standard drawings.
Individual templates are defined for the various drawing types.

Select the required Drawing Template from the gallery.
Input a value in the No of Sheets field to specify the number of available rows in the Sheets Selected table, the minimum value is one and the maximum value is 10. The initial displayed value is populated with the number of sheets in the first selected template.
The Sheets Selected table displays the sheet templates which can be used for the drawing, multiple sheet templates of varying sizes can be specified for each drawing. The first column indicates the number of available sheets and the second column contains the name of each sheet template.
Note:
The first row of the Sheets Selected table is read only and cannot be modified. You
can change the first row by selecting a different template, the functionality is not
available if extra rows are added to the table.
Select the required Drawing Template Sheet from the gallery to populate the currently selected row in the Sheets Selected table.
Each sheet template can be previewed. Click
to preview the previous sheet template, or click
to preview the next sheet template.
Click Create to display the Create Drawing window.

The Create Drawing window is very similar to the Hierarchy Browser window. Refer to Create Departments, Registries and Drawings with the Hierarchy Browser Window or Open Window.
You can browse the hierarchy to select the registry that the drawing is to be created in. Either input a name in the Name field, or leave it blank if the drawing is to be assigned a default name.
Click Create to create the drawing or Cancel to discard any inputs and close the Create Drawing window.
A drawing is created together with sheet and library elements.
