Group Elements

Notes:
Only three types of E3D elements can be added to a simulation group, EQUI, PIPE and BRAN.

With a fully connected model it is not necessary to add EQUIP as the branch connectivity recognizes the connected equipment nozzles automatically.

Adding elements

Elements can be added to the group individually or by selecting elements with the cursor, from the Process Simulation Interface window:

Individually:

• Use the green plus icon to add all the required equipment, pipes and branches.When the list is complete, select the blue tick icon to create all of the group elements from the group members list.

• If the blue tick icon changes to a blue tick with a warning triangle during the building of the group. This indicates that the list of elements is inconsistent with the stored data and to save any changes this icon needs to be selected to overwrite the stored group.

• Once the stored group and group members lists are aligned, the build icon is displayed as a blue tick.

Cursor picks:

• Select the cursor icon and use the cursor to pick the required elements from the 3D view. Once complete, press the escape button to build the group automatically.

Deleting Elements

• Select the required element(s) from the Group Members List and select the red cross icon.
