Use the Tasks > References pane of the Parts Family window to add the reference attributes of the GPART element. These reference attributes fully define the GPART and point to the 3D model and Isodraft and so on.

The 3D Model reference or catalog reference (catref) points to a catalog component, this is the only reference attribute that is obligatory. Refer to Selectors and Pointers for Piping Components and Selectors and Pointers for Structural Components for further information.

The 3D Template reference (TMPREF) attribute references the design template, refer to Select Design Template for further information.

The 2D reference (DRSSREF) attribute references the draft symbol set reference which defines symbols for components to be used on drawings, refer to Symbol Set for further information.

The ISO Description (Detref) reference attribute points to the Detailing Text (SDTE) elements which contain descriptive text relating to a component, which is used during the construction of drawings, reports, take-off sheets and so on. Refer to Catalog Database Elements Setup in Paragon for further information.

The ISO Material (MATXT) reference attribute points to the Material Text (SMTE) elements contain descriptive text describing the material(s) from which the physical component is constructed, and is used during the construction of drawings, reports, take-off sheets and so on. Refer to Material Text for further information.

The Bolts reference (BLTREF) attribute points to a BLTAB element in the Catalog DB. This contains details of the bolts needed to connect the corresponding component into a pipeline. This heading is, of course, applicable only to components which require bolts for example: flanges and so on.

Note:
BLTREF, in particular have no meaning for a structural component.

The Weights reference (CMPREF) attribute points to a CMPT element in the Properties DB, refer to Properties Constructor for further information.

The Surface Treatment Reference (Srftref) attribute points to a Surface Treatment Element (SRFTRT), refer to Surface Treatment Element for further information.

The Pipe Data Table Reference (PDAREF) attributes to a Pipe Data Table Element (PDATAB), refer to Pipe Data Element Element for further information
