Importing from CSV file

Similar to importing pipes, Generative Design AI imports pipes and branches from a csv file. You can convert an Excel file to .csv format using the Save As function in Excel.

1. Select Import CSV file to display the Select a file to import window.

   

   

   See Import CSV File Format for the required format of the import files and an example of a file.

2. Select the file and then select Open.

   New pipes and branches will then be created and added to the model as defined in the import file.

   • For example, if the example file included in this topic is imported, a new pipe with two branches will be added, as defined in the first three row of the file:

     

   • The last row of the import file will result in the creation of a new branch under the existing pipe /150-A-318:
