Curves

Curves are created as the intersection between two elements, that is surfaces or planes. The resulting curve will be located in the first of the two intersection planes, that is a surface or a grid plane. The second intersection element can also be a plane and can also be defined as an absolute coordinate.
The common reference curves are stored in a curve world (with element name CURWLD). Local curves can be created and stored below other elements in applications working with curves. This is then further described in these application user guides, but generally the same functions and data structure is used also for these local curves.
Each curve is stored with a definition and an instance (containing the actual geometry of the curve). The curve data structure is presented below.
