CUTPlane

Description

The position of a Joint which has an Attached Section is derived from the intersection of the Attached Section’s Joining Line (JLIN) and the Joint’s Cutting Plane (CUTP). The Cutting Plane Direction, that is the direction of the normal to the Cutting Plane, is defined by the setting of the CUTP attribute. The default direction is Up.

It is the position of the Joint’s Cutting Plane which defines the effective length of the Section (but also refer to Cutback Allowance).

Examples

CUTP N45D

The normal to the Cutting Plane points in the specified direction.

CUTP PERP

The normal to the Cutting Plane is set perpendicular to the Joint’s Origin Plane.
