Create Stringer Connection

Creates a connection at the end of stair flight, step ladder and rung ladder stringers to panel or floor elements. The functionality is only available for detail mode stair flights, step ladders and rung ladders.
You are prompted to Select Stair or Ladder to Connect Stringers
Note:
The prompt does not display if the stair flight or ladder is already selected.
Click to identify the stair flight or ladder.
You are then prompted to Select section end(s) or <Finish>
Click to identify the section end(s) to connect to the panel or floor element.
It is recommended to Input P at the prompt and press Enter to ensure that the stringers are properly aligned and a connection reference is made to the panel or floor.
You are then prompted to Select Panel/Floor to Connect to or
Click to identify the panel or floor element and press Enter to display the End Datum window.
Your are then prompted to Select Specification
The functionality of the End Datum window is explained. Refer to End Datum at Section End for further information.
Selection of a specification is optional, and can be used to add baseplates or welds to the stringers.
Click Apply to close the End Datum window.
Note:
If automatic joint selection is enabled (and there is a valid automatic joint specification
for the stringer), the end datums can be automatically created and the End Datum window does not display. Refer to Create Automatic Baseplates for further information.
Throughout the connection creation process you can press ESC to cancel the command. Additional functionality is also available.

Press the down arrow key and select Connect to Panel to connect section end(s) to a panel or floor element. |

Press the down arrow key and select Finish to end the command. |

Back |
Press the down arrow key and select Back to undo the last action. |
The connections are created and display in the 3D view.

The new ENDATU and FIXING elements display in the Model Explorer.
