Directives defines where the draw routing algorithm for the elements draws routed results. It could be near or on the algorithm.

Functions

  1. Add directives.

  2. Create routing plan.

  3. Create routing volume.

  4. Clears selected directives.

  5. Clears all rows.

Add directives selects elements in the graphical view to be added as constraints. It is a box selection that requires clicking-and-dragging.

Note
Directives work better with fewer directive elements, such as a GENSEC, or a Routing plane element.

Create routing plan - creates routing plane element (RPLA) as a directive.

Use two clicks to define the opposite corner of a rectangular routing plane. When you select the first corner of the routing plane with a CE prompt, the second corner prompt will display a visualisation of the routing plane.

Note:
The routing plane element comes from the old router functionality which is now obsolete. The functionality has a few attributes that could be utilized for Generative Design AI in the future. For example, the positioning of the routed pipe branches could be:
(PPLP) above, centred, or below the routing plane
(PLWW) wall to wall, wall to flange
(PLPM) flange to flange, and packing method

Create routing volume enables the creation of a volume element (PVOL) as a directive.

Clears selected directives - clears selected directives in the table.

Clears all rows - clears all the rows from the directives table

Create routing volume

Creation of preferred volume using origin , X length, Y length and Z length requires four clicks that define the origin and the X, Y, Z lengths of a box volume.
