Add Intelligent Table from Existing Data Source Definition

Adds an intelligent table to a drawing populated with data extracted from an existing database view using a Data Source Definition (DTSDEF).

You are prompted to Specify start point or

Input T at the prompt and press Enter to display the Open Data source definition window.

Navigate to the required Data Source Definition (DTSDEF) and click Open.

You are then prompted to Select view entity to process

Click to identify the view to create the intelligent table from.

You are then prompted to Specify start point or

Input values in the dimension fields and press Enter or click to identify the first corner of the intelligent table.

You are then prompted to Specify end point or

Input values in the dimension fields and press Enter or click to identify the opposite corner of the intelligent table. The outline of the intelligent table is drawn.

You are then prompted to Specify number of records to display or <50>

Input the required number of records at the prompt and press Enter.

The intelligent table is then added to the drawing.

Throughout the intelligent table creation process you can press ESC to cancel the command. Additional functionality is also available.

Template

Press the down arrow key and select Template to create an intelligent table populated with data extracted from an existing database view using a Data Source Definition (DTSDEF).

Wizard

Press the down arrow key and select Wizard to create an intelligent table populated with data extracted from a created Data Source Definition (DTSDEF) which is stored locally in the drawing library. Refer to Add Intelligent Table from Local Data Source for further information.

Back

Press the down arrow key and select Back to undo the last action.

The new ITABL element displays in the Draw Explorer.

Double click a cell to modify the content using the Text Editor window. The intelligent table can be modified using the Intelligent Table tab, grip points or properties. Refer to Add Text to Drawings, Intelligent Table Tab, Modify Intelligent Table using Grip Points and Modify Intelligent Table Properties for further information.
