Create and Modify Tasks

Sets the definitions for ABA tasks which are used to help process drawings. Tasks can be applied to views, sheets, and to the processing of drawings.

The File menu item has the options:

Load Tasks |
Loads all tasks from the default task library location which is used to update the list to include all tasks that have been created externally. |

Save Tasks |
Saves all current tasks to the task library. Tasks are stored in the ABA Default Tasks Library, and the PML Functions associated with each task are stored in %PMLLIB%. |

Close |
Closes the window |
The Task Types part of the window allows you to select a task from one of the four Task Type areas, View, Drawing, Process or Naming. Click the appropriate Task Type, all of the available tasks of that type display in the Tasks list.
The Tasks Definition part of the window allows you to input a name, description and function.

Name |
Defines the name that is the reference for that task. Note: |

Description |
Input a brief description of the Task. |

Function |
Associates the PML file used to define the task. |
The Task Parameters part of the window allows you to modify task parameters.

Description |
Displays a description for the function of the parameter. |

Value |
Displays the value of the parameter. |
|
Object Type |
Select from the drop-down list to set the value type as Real, String, Distance or Boolean. |
To create a new parameter, click Add.
Note:
Alternatively, select Add from the drop-down list in the lower part of Task Parameters.
To modify an existing parameter, select it in the Parameter list, change the Description and Value as required and click Replace.

To remove a parameter, select it in the Parameter list and click Remove. A Confirm window displays asking you to OK the deletion. Click Yes to delete the parameter.

By default the Name and Description elements in the Tasks list are sorted alpha numerically (A-Z, 0-9). To reverse the order, click the column header of the relevant list.
You can scroll up or down the Tasks list.

If, on exit from the window, changes have been made but not saved, a Question window displays asking you to OK the modifications. Click Yes to save any changes.
