HVAC Standards

HVAC Standards are a collection of specifications and customer settings available for selection in the HVAC Editor window. Use the functionality from the HVAC Standards window to add company specific specifications, custom settings and to link a custom setting to a specification. For more information about linking, refer to HVAC Custom Settings.

Standards provide control of what HVAC specifications and custom settings can be used in Model. Standards are mandatory because any custom settings or HVAC specifications that are to be used in Model must be added to a standard (in Paragon).

A specification can be linked to a custom setting in a standard. The linked custom setting gives control of what material and gauge custom pieces use when modelling in a particular specification and using a custom piece.

The following sample standards are included in the ACP project:

  • AVEVA-HVAC-STANDARD

  • AVEVA-HVAC-STANDARD-IMP

Standards can be made visible or hidden in the HVAC Editor in the Model module. This means that a project can add their own HVAC standards in a separate catalogue database in their own CATA element, and set the AVEVA supplied standards in the ACP project to be invisible in the Model module.

To set a standard visible or hidden in the HVAC Editor, select or select to clear Visible in HVAC Editor.

Note:
For this release both a specification and a custom settings must be selected in the HVAC Standards window.
