Alternate Expression

The Alternate Expression tab provides for alternative expressions and alternative design parameters for selected bores. The functionality is used to change the geometry of a component in certain situations.

The Supports application checks the alternative expression each time the component is modified. if the expression is true, the alternate design parameters below the alternate expression are used.

The example displays an alternate expression for an AT01 ancillary. When design parameter 5 is greater than 100mm, design parameter 7 is set to 6mm and design parameter 9 is set to 25mm. The Supports application creates stiffeners on the AT01 pipe shoe 6mm thick and located 25mm from each end of the shoe.

To add an alternate expression or alternate design parameter, click at the side of the list.

To remove an alternate expression or alternate design parameter, click at the side of the list.

To add an available bore to the selected bore list, click the right arrow at the side of the list. Click the left arrow to reverse the action.
