Example Specification Rules for GENSEC Beams

The example rule sets the specification reference of GENSEC beams created from a reference grid.
The rule uses logical expressions which are executed on each beam. For example, the following rule modifies the specification reference of the beam depending on whether the attached columns (at start or end) are of type CTUB, PFI or RTUB.

More complex rules can be created which consider the beam length, column size, or any other attributes available to the beam.
Note:
Rules are not available to define the profile specification of columns created from
a reference grid.
The rule is available for selection on the Structure From Grid window in Model. Refer to Create Structure from Reference Grid for further information.
