Part Manager window

The Part Manager is the tool to inspect, modify, create, import and export manufacturing parts.

The Part Manager menu is a modal function that graphically presents plate parts that are currently worked at. Selecting a part presents basic data about the part and allows this data to be changed.

Basic data is name, position number, thickness, steel quality, long and short part ID, assembly and work package.

Extracts the information from CE and adds it into Part Manager if the current element is of type MPLATE or MPROFILE.

Adding elements is also possible by dragging an element from the Manufacturing Explorer into the Part Manager window.

Inspect / Inspect and Edit

The access right of the current user inside Part Manager are defined by DAC (Data Access Control) which could be setup the Admin application.

If the current user should not be able to modify the part geometry, its required to disallow attribute EDTATT for MPLATE's.

Depending on the access rights of the current user a functionality on the context menu is available

  • Inspect: User can only inspect the part. No changes possible.

  • Inspect and Edit: User can inspect and edit the part. Changes are possible.

Via the context menu inside the Part Manager, it is possible to create an 2D view of the selected part which allows to see more detailed information for inspection and control.

It allows to select the part features like Holes, Markings and Bevels.

Detailed information of the selected part feature is shown in the property grid.

If the user is allowed to edit the part, several editing functions are available.

Functions to add part features are available in the Part Editor tab.

Via the property grid, it is possible to modify the existing part features.
