The main purpose of this application is to provide an quick input of an E3D piping model into AVEVA Process Simulation, to enable advanced design validation.
The AVEVA Process Simulation Interface (APSI) is an interface that extracts pipe models in E3D Design into an xml format file which can be imported into AVEVA Process Simulation (APS) for the simulation and analysis of fluid flow. Initially this Interface is design to export flare design models from E3D and targeted at the flare libraries in APS
This user guide provides guidance on the setup and configuration the APSI Interface to build and edit Simulation models in E3D and to export them to file and read the data into APS.
The interface builds a simple dataset representing the important simulation elements within the pipe model from E3D DESIGN. This model represents everyday piping elements in the 3-D model as node points within a simulation model. This nodal model can be edited to improve the quality and appearance of the final model.
