Add Page Numbers and System Information

Adds page numbers or other system information to a report. For example, the current date and time or a user name.
Generally, this information is displayed within the Page Header, Page Footer or Page Margin bands.
Add Page Numbers
Adds page numbers to a report.

On the Toolbox, select Page Info.

Within the required band, click on the report blank space to position the control.

On the Properties window, click the Behavior tab.

There are several options available from the Page Information drop-down list. Select whether to display only the current page number (Latin or Roman, uppercase or lowercase) or the current page number and the of total number of pages.

Set the Page Number property.

Click the Print Preview tab to display a preview of the current report layout with the modified report control.
Add System Date and Time
Adds the system date and time to a report.

On the Toolbox, select Page Info.

Within the required band, click on the report blank space to position the control.

On the Properties window, click the Behavior tab.

Select Current Date and Time from the Page Information drop-down list.

On the Properties window, click the Data tab.

Click the ellipsis next to Text Format String to display the Format String Editor window.

Select the required format style and click OK to close the Format String Editor window and save the changes.

Click the Print Preview tab to display a preview of the current report layout with the modified control.
Add User Name
Adds a user name to a report.

On the Toolbox, select Page Info.

Within the required band, click on the report blank space to position the control.

On the Properties window, click the Behavior tab.

Select User Name from the Page Information drop-down list.

Click the Print Preview tab to display a preview of the current report layout with the modified control.
