Import User Data

When a user selects a file to import from AVEVA Bocad Steel, the file can be inspected to see what additional data is being transferred.

From this window, you can see what data is being considered for transfer, the selected check boxes show what data will actually be transferred. There is also a field for a description of the data.

Once imported into PDMS, the data will be stored in UDAs, the numerical values will be stored in a real array, :FABRADATA. The text strings will be stored in an individual text UDA, :FABTADATA to :FABTEDATA. The index of these will direct you to the correct location.

Note:
Importing and exporting are two separate operations. The user data exported might have no correlation to the user data being imported. It is information that the receiver of the transfer file might find useful, once imported, you can use the data.
