THRE flat oval requirements

This topic describes the specification requirements for flat oval thee-way (THRE) components.

Parameter description requirements

• Parameter #1 = Width (arrive and leave)

• Parameter #2 - Height (arrive and leave)

• Parameter #3 = Width of branch

• Parameter #4 = Height of branch

  Note:
  Where the Arrive and Leave are different sizes, additional parameters are required. Normally the Width and Height parameters can be used for both Arrive and Leave sizes.

Data set requirements

For information about data set requirements that apply for all flat oval components, refer to Flat oval component requirements.

The following requirements are in addition to the data references that are created for parameters.

** Where the Default value is set to a parameter, the Expression value must be set to the same parameter. This is applicable for all component types.

P-point requirements

Specification requirements

The following specification headings are required:

• Type (TYPE)

• Duct Shape (PSHA)

• Duct Width 1 (PWID1)

• Duct Height 1 (PHEI1)

• Duct Width 2 (PWID2)

• Duct Height 2 (PHEI2)

• Duct Width 3 (PWID3)

• Duct Height 3 (PHEI3)

Duct Width1 and Duct Height1 correspond to the arrive of the component (P1).

Duct Width2 and Duct Height2 correspond to the leave of the component (P2).

Duct Width3 and Duct Height3 correspond to the offline connection of the component (P3).

In some cases, the above recommendations are not followed by the AVEVA supplied flat oval specifications or AVEVA legacy custom specifications, and they are not intended to be used as a template on how to set up new custom specifications.
