Create Database View

Creates a Data Source Definition (DTSDEF) at the specified location in the hierarchy.

If a Library (LIBY) has not been created, on the Create Data source definition window, select the required Project or Department (DEPT), click New and select New Library from the drop-down list.

It is recommended that you give the LIBY a name that makes its contents obvious to users.

The Create Data source definition window has similar functionality to the Hierarchy Browser window. Refer to Hierarchy Browser for further information.

To create a Data Source Library (DTSLB), on the Create Data source definition window, select the required LIBY, click New and select New Data sources library from the drop-down list.

Click Create to display the Data Source Wizard which can be used to define the data source for the intelligent table. The functionality available from the Data Source Wizard is explained, refer to Define New Data Source for further information.
