Create Electrical connexion window

Creates an electrical connection from an available room, with a defined name and at a defined position.

Naming
Owner
Displays the owner name of the electrical connection.
By default, the owner name is the name of the selected room.

Name
Defines the electrical connection name.
Enter a name, for example, /Connexion001/2. For more information, refer to NOMMER.
Use gaps in naming sequence
Defines whether to use gaps in the naming space or not
If you select the Use gaps in naming sequence checkbox, all of the following icons are available and you can use gaps in the naming sequence.

Use first available name |
Populates the Name box using the previous number before the first available name number. |
|
|
Use previous available name |
Populates the Name box using the previous number before the previously available name number. |
|
|
Use next available name |
Populates the Name box using the next number after the next available name number. |
|
|
Use last available name |
Populates the Name box using the next number after the last available name number. |
If you do not select the Use gaps in naming sequence checkbox, only the Use last available name option becomes available, so that you can only define the next number after the last available name.
Catalogue ...
Note: If you have created an electrical connections and select the electrical connection element in the Building Application window, the Catalogue button becomes available in the Modify Electrical connexion window.
Displays the Modify Electrical Component window to define the geometry of an electrical connection.

For more information, refer to Electrical Component.
The electrical component definition is required , so that you can select an ELCONN element from the Cabling System application.
Position
Defines the position of the electrical connection.

East / West |
Defines the East or West axis for the position. From the dropdown menu, select the direction of the East or West axis. |

North / South |
Defines the North or South axis for the position. From the dropdown menu, select the direction of the North or South axis. |

Up / Down |
Defines the Up or Down axis for the position. From the dropdown menu, select the direction of the Up or Down axis. |

Value |
Defines an exact coordinate for each axis in mm. Enter a value in the coordinate box. |

Coordinate unlocked |
Locks the defined position on the appropriate axis. The appropriate coordinate box becomes unavailable. |

Coordinate locked |
Unlocks the defined position on the appropriate axis. The appropriate coordinate box becomes available. |

Pick Position

|
Displays the Positioning icon bar to define the position on a click in the 3D View. For more information, refer to Positioning Control. |
wrt
Defines the element to which all coordinates are interpreted.The default entry is the name of the selected room.
Orientation
Orientates the electrical connection element with the use of coordinates or by the selection of surfaces or edges in the 3D view.
Direction
Defines the direction to create the electrical connection. By default the room element defines the direction. Alternatively you can select a surface or edge in the 3D View and define a rotation angle.

Defines the direction by element surface or edge. Select an element surface or edge in the 3D view. For more information, refer to Selection in 3D View. |
Rotation
Defines the rotation using a specified angle.
Enter a value. The application transfers the number into following format: 0° 0' 0''

Defines the rotation from points picked in the 3D view. Pick two points in the 3D view. For more information, refer to Selection in 3D View. |
