Import Work Packs from Microsoft Excel

Before using the import work packs functionality, the application must be configured to allow the import of work packs from Microsoft Excel files:

  • AVEVA Integration Service must be configured to accept Microsoft Excel files as a data source.

  • The AWPImportConfiguration.xml file must be configured to determine the type of work pack for import, for example, whether a work pack belongs to a construction work area or a construction work pack. The data columns to be imported and their mappings to attributes must be configured. The AWPImportConfiguration.xml can be modified according to project requirements and is located at the following path in the installation folder:

    /ERMIntegration/ImportConfiguration

  • The work pack import settings must be configured to specify the location of the Microsoft Excel file to be imported.

    Note:
Additional information is available in the AVEVA Enterprise Resource Management - Design Integration User Guide for E3D Design.
