Label Appearance

Label appearance is defined by the element referenced by the TAGR’s TMRF attribute. If the referenced element is a GLAB or a SLAB, the generated labels are identical to it except for attributes DDNM and LVIS (which are set TRUE). The GLAB or SLAB need not be in the current Drawing.
If the referenced element is a TXTM or SYTM, the basic style of the generated SLABs are defined by the referenced template, but detail appearance attributes are cascaded down from the owning LAYE. Attributes CHEI, FONT, LFSTYLE/LFCOLOUR and TXCOLOUR can be set at LAYE level to ‘TEMPLATE’, which means that these attributes take their values from the template referenced by the TAGR. (applies only to SLABs; other LAYE members, for which the ‘TEMPLATE’ setting is meaningless, can be created with values of 4mm, 1, 1 and 1 (respectively) for these attributes.)
