Location Defined View Scale

If a scale has been set in the visual view style, the scale is used for the location defined view. If a scale has not been set, it is calculated from the 2D frame box of the view and the view limits, the closest predefined scale is used.

If an Auto scale is applied to an existing location defined view, the result is different to the original view. The scale is calculated based on the total enclosing box volume of the model elements in the id-list, not just the view limits (given by the model element serving as the basis for the location). The command AUTOSCALE LIMITS of /id_list (followed by an Update command) scales the view close to the original except that it delivers an exact scale value and not a predefined scale. The limits stored on the id_list share the same value as those stored on the view.
