BEND rectangular requirements

This topic describes the specification requirements for rectangular bend (BEND) components.

Parameter description requirements

• Parameter #1 = Width of arrive

• Parameter #2 = Height

• Parameter #3 = Width of leave

Data set requirements

The following requirements are in addition to the data references that are created for parameters.

** Where the Default value is set to a parameter, the Expression value must be set to the same parameter. This is applicable for all component types.

P-point requirements

For information about P-point requirements that apply for all rectangular components, refer to Rectangular component requirements.

The following table shows the additional required P-points:

* The Axis Direction (PAXI) for P-point P2 is X for 90 degree bends. For bends other than 90 degrees, the direction must be the same as the leave direction. For example, a 45 degree bend is 'X 45 Z'.

Specification requirements

The following specification headings are required:

• Type (TYPE)

• Duct Shape (PSHA)

• Duct Width (PWID)

• Duct Height (PHEI)

• Angle (ANGL)

• Riser (RISE)

  Note:
  For oval rectangular, the additional heading Riser column is required to differentiate between a bend and a riser. There is an optional STYP to differentiate between square and radius bends.
