Create Style Library

Creates a Representation Library and Style Library (STYL) at the specified location in the hierarchy. Refer to Create Representation Library for further information.

The Library (LIBY) must be selected in the hierarchy to make it the CE.

Note:
Style Libraries are actually Representation Libraries (RPLB) in terms of AVEVA E3D Design Database elements.

It is recommended that you give the RPLB a name that makes its contents obvious to users.

Click OK to display the Style Library window or Cancel to discard any changes and close the Create RPLB window.

The Representation Styles part of the Style Library window allows you to add, remove and define the displayed representation styles (STYL) and single line representation styles (SLSTYL).

CE

Click to display the Hierarchy Browser which allows you to select a different style library as the current element. Refer to Hierarchy Browser for further information.

The currently selected style library displays adjacent to the option.

Add

Click Add Style from the drop down list to create a representation style. A new representation style with a default name and attributes is created and added to the list of available representation styles.

Click Add SLR Style from the drop down list to create a single line representation style. A new single line representation style with a default name and attributes is created and added to the list of available representation styles.

Remove

Click to delete the currently selected representation style or single line representation style.

Show Only STYLE

Click to display only representation style elements in the representation styles list.

Show Only SLSTYLE

Click to display only single line representation style elements in the representation styles list.

Colour and Style Attributes

The Color and Style Attributes part of the Style Library window allows you to select the line styles, colours and model visual layers for the available representation styles or single line representation styles.

Standard options of line colour, style and model visual layer are set explicitly by selecting system-defined settings from the colour, line-pattern and thickness, and model visual layer drop-down lists. Alternatively, enter an RGB line color using the format R 100 G 200 B 255.

Click to minimize the colour, line-pattern and thickness, and model visual layer drop-down lists for a representation style or single line representation style.

Representation Style Attributes

The Style Attributes part of the Style Library window allows you to define the display of a number of design items.

Tube (TUBE)

Select the check box to display all pipes.

De-select the check box to suppress the display of all pipes.

Obstructions (OBST)

Select the check box to display all obstructions.

De-select the check box to suppress the display of all obstructions.

Profile (PRFG)

Select the check box to display all steelwork profiles.

De-select the check box to suppress the display of all steelwork profiles

Piping Symbols (PSYM)

Select the check box to display all piping components.

De-select the check box to suppress the display of all piping components.

Insulation (INSU)

Select the check box to display all insulation.

De-select the check box to suppress the display of all insulation.

P-Line (PLFG)

Select the check box to display all steelwork stick build representation.

De-select the check box to suppress the display of all steelwork stick build representation.

Extend Pline (EXTGPL)

Used for steelwork GENSEC elements.

Select the check box to extend the member line intersection with the connected GENSEC member line in the same framework.

De-select the check box to suppress the pline extension.

Centreline (CLFG)

Select the check box to display all centrelines.

De-select the check box to suppress the display of all centrelines.

Drawing Level (DLEV)

Input a value to modify the drawing level. The default value is 6.

Single Line Representation Style Attributes

The Style Attributes part of the Style Library window allows you to define the display of a number of design items.

Extend Pline (EXTGPL)

Used for steelwork GENSEC elements.

Select the check box to extend the member line intersection with the connected GENSEC member line in the same framework.

De-select the check box to suppress the pline extension.

PLine Through

Select the check box to display the part of the member line which passes through the outer edge of the widget.

De-select the check box to suppress the display of the part of the member line which passes through the outer edge of the widget.

Drawing Level (DLEV)

Input a value to modify the drawing level. The default value is 6.

Gap Distance (SLRGAP)

Input a value to modify the gap distance for single line representation.

Width Multiplier (SLFTHM)

Input a value to modify the flange, web and leg thickness indicator distance for single line representation. The default value is 1.0. For example, a value of 5.0 displays the width five times larger. The width of the flange, web or leg is limited to 25% of the total thickness of the widget.

Click Apply to apply the style settings.

If there are uncommitted modifications to a style and a different style is selected from the list of available representation styles, a Confirm window displays indicating that the changes will be lost. Click Yes to apply the style settings.

Click Cancel to discard any changes and close the Style Library window.
