Types of Defaults

Examples of the types of Defaults that can be set are:

• Pointers to the Libraries from which the different aspects of the drawing functions obtain their standard data, for example:

  • 2D symbols and labels

  • Backing sheets and overlay sheets

  • Global representation rules and local styles

  • Drawlists

  • Tag rules and tag templates

  • DRWG and SHEE templates

  • Default visual section indicator library

  • Default text, dimension, label, view, ruler, connector, table and table cell styles

• Definitions of name delimiters; that is, the characters used to separate the component parts of an element's name.

• Definitions of naming conventions; that is, the characters used to prefix the component name of given element types.

• Definitions of sheet sizes; that is, their width, height and description.

• Definitions of text sizes

• Definitions for LAYE elements under VIEWs for use by ADP; defined in terms of their purpose and associated attribute groups.
