Checks the model integrity of the FRMW elements for warnings and errors.

Warnings are indicated with .

Errors are indicated with .

Note:
A usable STD file can be created if warnings are present, errors must be fixed before progressing.

The following checks are processed:

  • GENSEC element lengths must not be zero.

  • GENSEC elements must have a valid SPINE element.

  • Spref attributes must be set and valid.

  • The Spref attribute must have a valid Staad Pro equivalent in the mapping file.

  • The Matref attribute must be set and referenced to a material in the mapping file.

  • GENSEC element start and end points are connected.

  • Start and end connections are in the analysis list.

  • PANE elements must have a PLOO element.

  • PLOO elements must have the height set.

  • PLOO elements must have at least three distinct PAVE elements.

  • To navigate to an item that requires attention, click on the error or warning in the grid.

Example warnings and errors:

  • If the Matref attribute is not set on a GENSEC element, the SAI outputs default STEEL information to the STD file.

  • Cantilevered beams with unconnected ends produce a warning which can be ignored.

  • If an error is produced where the Spref attribute does not have a valid Staad Pro equivalent in the mapping file, there will be missing data in the STD file, which should be fixed before progressing.

Integrity

Re-checks the model integrity for warnings and errors. If the mapping file is modified to include new mappings, it may be necessary to close and re-enter AVEVA E3D Design.
